why, you may ask?

First of all, who has time to blog, especially a college kid, let alone blog about the food they eat? Well I do, and even if I don't, I'll make time. Just another way to procrastinate, my favorite thing to do! But the main reason for my newest project is for my wonderful father, who, to say loves food is an understatement, will be able to get all the details of what's made in our kitchen! My father loves food more than anyone I know, he could go on and on, well moan and moan some more about his meals, that's why we love him! Food is such an integral part of our family, there isn't anything better than a Sunday filled with family and food, and when I say food it is food galore. Growing up food has always played such a big role in my family and for my family spending time together means being around the table sharing not just food, but laughter and love. Starting off in the kitchen at such a young age, cooking has always been a passion of mine, whether it's making a mess in the kitchen with cousin, cooking dinner with daddy for momma or being my mothers trusty assistant, being in the kitchen reminds me of home, and memories, lots of good ones.

A downfall, well downfall isn't quite the best word, disadvantage would be a better one, to have grown up in a house where food is so important is that you become kind of a food snob. First year of college= rough in the food department. When we decided to live in an apartment this year, I was jumping for joy to say the least, I couldn't wait to go buy all our kitchen accessories and get cooking! I wanted to bring my joy of cooking and food from home to our apartment at school and share the love with my wonderful roommates.

Hence why I got the urge to start a blog,to share the stories of laughter, disaster and greatness that come from our kitchen!

  1. What a great way to keep me from texting you daily to ask what you are making for dinner! Now all I will have to do is call up the blog to see what's on the menu. You are always thinking my Sweet-pea! Looking forward to daily updates with pics of each dinner.
